Some of the Canary Islands are set to experience light but persistent rainfall over the next few days, particularly in the more mountainous areas, as forecast by the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).
While temperatures remain cool, early morning frosts are not ruled out on the highest peaks of the islands.
Tomorrow, Tuesday 11th February, will see cloud cover increase over the mountainous islands, with overcast conditions in the north during the morning, turning cloudy in the interior in the afternoon. Light, occasional rainfall is expected, especially in Tenerife.
Lanzarote and Fuerteventura will remain mostly clear, with light calima persisting in the eastern islands.
Wednesday, 12th February:
Tenerife and the western islands will see variable cloud cover, with a higher chance of rain in northern La Palma. Lanzarote and Fuerteventura will remain mostly clear. The calima will begin to subside in the eastern islands.
Thursday, 13th February:
Northern areas will see mostly cloudy skies, while the rest of the islands will experience generally clear conditions. Light, occasional rain is possible in the north of the western islands, with a chance of showers in Gran Canaria later in the day.
