A wet and cloudy Friday in most of the Canary Islands
The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has issued a yellow alert for rain on El Hierro, La Palma, and La Gomera today, Friday, with the possibility of occasional thunderstorms. There is also a small chance of rain on Tenerife, although less likely.
In the eastern islands, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and Fuerteventura, any rain is expected to be light to moderate and mainly in the afternoon.
Temperatures will remain largely stable across the archipelago, with only slight increases in the western islands. Winds will be light and variable, generally from the northwest in the western province and from the south in the eastern province. On the mountain peaks, moderate north-westerly winds will ease later in the day.
At sea, expect northerly or northeasterly winds of force 2–3, becoming variable (1–3) later. Seas will be slight to moderate, with a north-westerly swell of 1–2 metres to the north.

LANZAROTE
Partly cloudy with mid- and high-level clouds. Low chance of brief, light showers in the afternoon. Light, variable winds with breezes during the day.
Expected temperature range: Low of 19°C and a high of 25°C.
FUERTEVENTURA
Partly cloudy with occasional light showers possible in the afternoon. Light, variable winds with breezes during the day.
Expected temperature range: Low of 20°C and a high of 25°C.
GRAN CANARIA
Partly cloudy, becoming overcast later. Low risk of light to moderate showers, mainly in the afternoon and evening. Slight temperature increases inland. Light winds, predominantly from the south. Breezes on the coast.
Expected temperature range: Low of 22°C and a high of 25°C.
TENERIFE
Mostly cloudy or overcast skies with a chance of moderate, occasional rain — mainly in the north and west early on, spreading east later. Temperatures will remain unchanged or rise slightly. Light winds, predominantly from the northwest. Breezes on the coast.
Expected temperature range: Low of 21°C and a high of 26°C.
