April is going to finish with a hot and sunny bank holiday weekend and an extra day off work for many on Monday as its May 1st, known as Dia del Trabajadores (workers day) in the Canary Islands, according to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).
Expect the beaches and pools to be busy as skies will generally be clear with just some light clouds at altitude, temperatures up to 28°C on Sunday and Monday, and light breezes in coastal areas.
The sea is going to be calmer than it has been in recent weeks, but bathers are still warned to be careful of the current and swell in rocky areas and coves that don’t have lifeguards.
