The Canary Islands are forecast to have cloudy skies with the possibility of occasional showers on the more mountainous islands today (Tuesday), as well as strong gusts of wind throughout the day according to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).
There will be a strong north-easterly wind which at sea will reach force 5 or 6, causing a strong swell and waves of 2 to 3 metres, particularly on north coasts. Temperatures will remain in the mid-20s as it will be a humid day thanks to the cloud cover.
