The Canary Islands are set to experience rain and a drop in temperatures in the run-up to Christmas, as a DANA (an isolated high-altitude low) is currently approaching the Canary Islands, which will bring rain from tomorrow (Thursday).
According to the director of the AEMET Met Office in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Víctor Quintero, the rain will start tomorrow and will become more intense during the afternoon and night, gradually tapering off until midday on Sunday, which is Christmas Eve.
On Christmas Eve itself, there is a possibility of rain, although it is expected to be very minimal. A mild drop in temperatures is also anticipated, which will rebound on Monday, Christmas Day.
Temperatures are expected to be around 20°C between tomorrow and Christmas Eve, rising slightly to 22°C on Christmas Day.
