Two killed and four injured in a car accident in Guaza

A man and a woman, both aged 69 years old, have been killed in a car accident involving three vehicles, that took place last night (Friday) on the TF-66 road, in the Guaza area, in the municipality of Arona in the south of Tenerife, as reported by the Coordinating Centre for Emergencies and Security (CECOES).

Four other people suffered varying degrees of injuries, two of them, a 49-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man, were rushed to the Hospital de Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria by ambulance with serious injuries. The other two, a 28-year-old man and a woman, were taken to Hospiten Sur with moderate injuries.

Firemen had to cut one of the men out of his car as he was trapped inside so that he could receive medical assistance before going to hospital. The Guardia Civil and Highway Service are leading the investigation into the cause of the accident.
