The TSJC Prosecutor Office approves the curfew in the Canary Islands

The Prosecutor's Office of the Superior Court of Justice (TSJC) has issued a favourable report to the request of the Canary Islands Government to apply a curfew on islands that are in alert levels 3 and 4, which will now be officially decided by the court tomorrow (Wednesday).

Sources from the Prosecutor's Office have reported to the EFE news agency that this resolution was adopted late yesterday and communicated to the Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands that it must make a decision regarding the application of the curfew from 0:30h to 6:00h, in this case on the island of Tenerife, which is currently the only island that is at level 3.

Just yesterday, the Fourth Section of the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice (TSJ) authorized the limitation to a maximum of 10 people of social and family gatherings throughout the Valencian Community, and restrictions on night mobility or curfew between 1am and 6am in 32 municipalities with more than 5,000 inhabitants, that present a greater epidemiological risk from Covid-19.
