The president of the Tenerife Cabildo, Pedro Martín, announced today that the island has a target of reaching one million German tourists between this campaign and the end of 2022, which has been set because it is about being "ambitious" and the island has "many possibilities for growth” regarding tourism.
Pedro Martín referred to these objectives in statements prior to his participation in the opening of the ITB fair in Berlin, which this year is being held electronically.
The island president indicated that, although it is too early to talk about dates regarding the expected arrival of tourists, because "in the end it is the pandemic that sets the agenda", but Tenerife has many possibilities for growth since, he recalled, in 2019 the island received around 2 million Britons and 565,000 Germans.
