The Tenerife Cabildo has confirmed that just after 2pm this afternoon, they have reopened all the access roads to Teide National Park, which have been closed since Saturday due to the presence of ice on the road, small landslides, and snow warnings.
Despite them reopening, they remind that Tenerife is at alert Level 3 to contain the spread of Covid-19, so crowds should be avoided and moving between municipalities is not recommended unless absolutely necessary.
This weekend the landslides and ice patches were a risk for drivers which is why the operators of the Cabildo Highways worked intensely to re-enable the roads where traffic was interrupted: the junction of the TF-21 with TF-38, from Boca Tauce, in the South; the TF-21 from La Caldera, in La Orotava, and the TF-24, at the Los Loros junction at the intersection of the La Esperanza and Guímar climbs.
