Owner of cannabis club in Adeje arrested for drug dealing

The National Police have arrested a 39-year-old man in Adeje for selling narcotics in the premises of a Cannabis Association Club in Adeje. In addition, there were 29 people inside smoking marijuana without respecting any hygienic-sanitary measures stipulated in the current regulations, for which the corresponding fines are being issued.

The arrest took place on Monday after agents learned that in a place, declared as an association of cannabis consumers’ member, numerous people were entering and leaving the premises who did not observe compliance with the measures established to prevent the transmission of Covid-19.

During the raid they verified that there were about 30 people inside the premises, all of them without masks and most of them consuming narcotic substances, and as well as that several people bought the drug to consume it elsewhere, which is against Association legislation.

For this reason, the national police officers detained the person in charge of the premises for the unlawful selling and distribution of narcotic substances, breach of anti-Covid regulations, and started sanctions against the 29 people inside the club for also breaching anti-Covid regulations.

In addition, they seized more than 1,000 grams of marijuana, 250 grams of hashish and 813 euros in cash, which along with the correct paperwork has been passed to the competent judicial authority.
