A man has been seriously injured after his motorcycle collided with a car in Adeje in the south of Tenerife last night, according to the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) of the Canary Islands.
The accident happened at around 7:25pm last night (Sunday) on Avenida Francisco Ucelay Sabina in Fañabe in Costa Adeje, and CECOES dispatched an SUC ambulance and police to the area who find the motorcyclist suffering from severe multiple injuries when they got there.
Police had to close part of the road, that links the Jacaranda Hotel to the TF-1 motorway junction, so that the man could be attended to, and after initial treatment he was transferred in an advanced life support ambulance to the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria, where he has been admitted in a serious condition.
The Local Police are investigating the accident and confirmed that the driver of the car that was involved was not injured, and no other vehicles were involved.
