A 31-year-old man has been killed in a motorcycle accident on the TF-21, the main road that goes through the Cañadas del Teide. The tragic incident occurred on the main road where the emergency services were dispatched to and tried to save his life.
Staff from a SUC ambulance provided the first assistance to the injured man, who was in cardiorespiratory arrest following the accident, until the arrival of paramedics by helicopter who also tried to resuscitate him with advanced CPR techniques; however, they were unsuccessful and could only confirm his death.
The Guardia Civil regulated traffic in the area and issued the corresponding report, and are now investigating the cause of the accident, which initially looks as though the rider may have been going too fast and lost control of his motorbike.
National Park staff and the Red Cross EIRIE collaborated with the emergency services in the operation.
