Maritime Rescue intercepted a boat with twelve irregular migrants onboard this morning after receiving an emergency call from a fishing boat just after 10am saying they had spotted it 4 miles off the coast from Los Cristianos.
The Control Centre mobilized the 'Alpheratz' rescue boat and shortly afterwards received a call from the fishing boat communicating that the cayuco had stopped and that its occupants were signalling them for help, as they were bailing out water as the boat was sinking.
