A lorry has closed the TF-523 in Arafo, after it jack-knifed and tipped over shedding its load of hundreds of bottles of water across the road in the Tenerife municipality of Guimar, next to the local Lidl.
The driver said he lost control of the trailer due the weight of it as he came down the steep Teide road, and the truck tipped over without him able to do anything.
Local Police had to close the road and set diversions, whilst emergency services checked for any injuries and set about clearing and re-opening the road as soon as possible.
