The Atlantic storm bringing fog and strong winds that has begun today in the Canary Islands (Monday), has so far caused the diversion of five flights, four to the Tenerife South airport and a fifth that has taken off from to Tenerife North to go to La Palma, but returned soon after takeoff.
Aena have confirmed that an easyJet flight coming from Berlin was one of one’s diverted to the south on its way to La Palma due to strong winds; a Vueling flight from Santiago de Compostela was also diverted to Tenerife South as was one from Binter from Santander, and the fourth is another Vueling flight coming from Malaga.
