Spanish Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso, has published a photo on social media showing a special helmet with a tribute to La Palma on it, in support of the effects that the eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano is having on the residents of the Island.
The former double world champion says on the post, “I'll tell you more on Thursday," in answer to questions as to whether he will wear it at the next race on the Formula One calendar, which is on October 24th in Austin, Texas, USA, as the helmet has the name of La Palma inscribed on the back of it.
