Tenerife councils have cancelled the majority of Christmas events in the South

The increase in COVID infections and the move to alert Level 3, in force since midnight last night, has forced the municipalities of the South of Tenerife to cancel or postpone a large number of events planned for the Christmas period. Here is an overview of events for each municipality.

Granadilla:
The Christmas Concert by the Sociedad Cultural José Reyes Martín band has been cancelled, as has the Spanish Judo Cup.
The craft fair in the Plaza de la Cultura in San Isidro is going ahead on Sunday, as is the farmers market.
The council has decided to postpone the Parranda Chasnera and the New Year's concerts. Also, the recreational park will not be held in the municipal pavilion, nor will the San Silvestre El Medano fun run on Boxing Day, nor the end of the year park for children on December 30th in San Isidro.

Arona:
Arona has announced that the concert for the XXXIII anniversary of the Banda de Arona, scheduled for today at the Infanta Leonor Auditorium, has been cancelled.

Adeje:
Junior football matches have been cancelled as has the Yoga Festival for La Palma.

Santiago del Teide:
The council have announced that all activities planned in the municipality have been cancelled "until further notice and when the health situation improves."

San Miguel de Abona:
Tonight’s Disney 2021 Concert at the Jonay Risco Pérez pavilion has been cancelled.

Arico:
The City Council have cancelled all the events of the Christmas program this weekend, including the Christmas Concert, the Christmas Carol service, and the Living Nativity Scene.

Guía de Isora and Vilaflor have not yet informed of the suspensions of any activities.
