The Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands today reports 57 new cases of coronavirus in the archipelago. The total accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is now 96,117 with 722 active, of which 23 are admitted to ICU and 69 remain hospitalized. In the last 24 hours there has been no death in the islands linked to the coronavirus, which is now the third day running.
The accumulated incidence rate over 7 days for the Islands stands at 16.08 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, and over 14 days at 33.50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, with all the islands staying stable, except for Lanzarote which now has an IA7 over 25 and IA14 back over 50.
By islands, Tenerife today adds 22 cases with 344 active; Gran Canaria has 21 more than the previous day and 260 active. Lanzarote adds 12 new cases and 69 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 3 more cases and 45 active. La Palma, El Hierro, and La Gomera have not registered any new cases.
