Covid update: Canary Islands register 103 new cases and no deaths this Tuesday

The Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands has confirmed 103 new cases of coronavirus today, taking the total accumulated cases in the archipelago to 97,346 with 1,160 actives, of which 14 are admitted to ICU and 64 remain hospitalized. In the last 24 hours, there have been no deaths in the islands linked to coronavirus.

The Accumulated Incidence rate over 7 days in the Islands now stands at 25.05 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, and over 14 days at 52.12 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife has added 44 new cases and has 527 active cases; Gran Canaria adds 38, Lanzarote 9, La Palma 7, Fuerteventura 4, La Gomera 1, and El Hierro none.

To date, a total of 2,257,761 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 2,703 correspond to yesterday, with a positivity rate of 2.85%.
