The Canary Islands have started November, and the winter tourism season, in a positive way as the number of new daily cases has dropped with 62 on Saturday, 55 yesterday, and 43 today. The Ministry of Health has reported of one Covid death in Gran Canaria, after three consecutive days without any.
This indication of the stabilisation of new cases is good news, as they had increased to around 100 a day and pushed active cases to over 1,000 in the islands. Of today’s new cases 21 are in Gran Canaria, 14 are in Tenerife, 4 in Lanzarote, 2 in Fuerteventura, 2 in La Gomera, and none in La Palma or El Hierro.
