Tenerife is packed with events again this weekend, with public and private venues offering plenty of reasons to get out and enjoy the island. From film screenings and cultural celebrations to food festivals and major sporting fixtures, there’s something for every taste. So if you were planning a quiet weekend at home, it might be time to check the wardrobe; there’s no shortage of things to do.
La Noche en Blanco in La Laguna
La Laguna’s popular Noche en Blanco returns this Saturday, transforming the historic centre into a huge cultural and commercial space from 10 am until late into the night. Shops, heritage, family activities, sports, and live entertainment will fill the streets, creating one of the biggest open-air events of the year.
Tapas, wine and live music in Santa Cruz
Parque La Granja in Santa Cruz will again host the Tapas and Wine Gastronomic Fair this Saturday from 6 pm to midnight. The event brings together local restaurants and wineries to showcase Canarian produce, accompanied by live performances from Orquesta La Sabrosa, Los Vándalos, Melocos and others.
San Andrés celebrations in Icod de los Vinos
Icod de los Vinos celebrates its traditional arrastre de tablas (board sliding festival) this weekend. The action begins on Saturday at 7 pm, followed by the Gran Fiesta de los Vinos. The boards will race again through the streets on Sunday. The day also includes the popular Battle of the Polkas, a lively musical ‘showdown’ where local bands roam the streets playing upbeat polka tunes and challenge each other in friendly, noisy duels that draw crowds of dancers and spectators.

Carrera por la Vida – Walk for Life
The Canary Islands “Carrera por la Vida” Foundation, together with Adeje Town Hall, is inviting the public to join a solidarity walk in support of people affected by breast cancer. The walk raises awareness, promotes health and shows community support. The event starts at 10:30 am from Siam Mall.
Sports
Football fans can look forward to CD Tenerife taking on CD Arenteiro at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López on Saturday at 5:30 pm. On Sunday, basketball takes centre stage with Spain facing Georgia in a qualifying match for the 2027 Basketball World Cup. Tip-off is at 6:45 pm at the Santiago Martín Arena.
Cinema at TEA
TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes will be screening Simón de la montaña at 7 pm this weekend, from Friday 28th November to Sunday 30th November. Directed by Federico Luis, the film explores the idea of human capability and challenges common assumptions about difference and disability. It won the Grand Prize at Cannes’ Critics’ Week and tells the story of a young man who integrates himself into a group of teenagers with diverse needs. The film will be shown in its original Spanish version.
