The Guardia Civil in Gran Canaria have arrested a woman wanted under seven separate court orders, including one for immediate imprisonment.
The arrest was carried out on 21st July 2025 following a detailed investigation that began earlier this year.
The case dates back to May, when the police received reports of several thefts. At the time, the female suspect was unknown to the authorities.
The investigation was taken over by the Guardia Civil’s Investigation Unit, whose officers carried out extensive enquiries to identify the person responsible. Their work revealed that the suspect, a woman originally from Telde in Las Palmas, had a total of seven active warrants from various courts on the island.
To locate her, investigators collaborated closely with the National Police’s Local Judicial Brigade (UDEV) in Telde. This joint operation, involving constant coordination and information sharing, was key to tracking the suspect, who was known for being highly cautious and evasive in an attempt to avoid arrest.
On 21st July, the woman was found and arrested in Santa María de Guía. After her capture, the necessary legal procedures were completed, and she was transferred to the duty court in Santa María de Guía to face the charges against her.Bottom of Form
