Woman injured after car overturns in Tenerife
A 50-year-old woman was injured after her car overturned on the TF-13 road in La Laguna this morning (Wednesday). According to the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2, the accident happened at 12:20 pm beneath the Tejina roundabout, in the direction of Punta del Hidalgo.
Emergency services received an alert about the crash shortly before 12:30 pm and immediately sent the necessary response teams. Fire crews from Bomberos de Tenerife were the first to arrive and safely evacuated the driver, who was trapped inside the overturned vehicle.
Paramedics treated the woman at the roadside, confirming that she had suffered multiple moderate injuries. She was then transferred to the Hospital Universitario de Canarias (HUC) for further care.
The Local Police and the Guardia Civil secured the area, regulated traffic and completed the accident report, while road maintenance teams worked to clear debris and reopen the TF-13 as quickly as possible.
The cause of the accident is now under investigation.
