Woman found dead in her home in Gran Canaria
Firefighters in Gran Canaria discovered the lifeless body of a 54-year-old woman in her home yesterday (Saturday) in the Lomo Blanco neighbourhood of Las Palmas, after being called to break down the door of the property.
Initially, reports suggested the deceased was an elderly woman, but the National Police have confirmed that she was 54 years old and has been dead for approximately a week.
The emergency services were alerted after neighbours called the police as they said they hadn’t seen the woman for several days and were concerned.
Preliminary indications suggest that the death was due to natural causes, but an investigation has been opened to confirm the time and cause of death.
