Authorities and social media users alike have condemned the latest act of dangerous driving in Tenerife after a group of young people were filmed engaging in reckless behaviour on a winding mountain road.

The incident, which occurred on Saturday on the TF-24, the road connecting La Laguna to Mount Teide, shows those involved riding in two separate vehicles with parts of their bodies hanging out of the windows while the cars were in motion.

In some clips, they can be seen sitting on the window frames as the vehicles navigate sharp curves, in clear violation of traffic laws and basic safety standards.

Local authorities have reiterated their warning that such actions are not only illegal but life-threatening. “This kind of behaviour endangers everyone,” a spokesperson said. “It shows a complete disregard for the rules and for the safety of others.”

The TF-24 is a busy and often hazardous route, particularly on weekends when traffic to and from Teide National Park, a protected and highly visited area, is at its peak. Reckless behaviour like this only increases the risk of serious accidents, not just for those involved, but for all road users.

Investigations are ongoing, and officials are urging anyone with further information about the incident to report it.
