A day at the beach was ruined yesterday for hundreds of holidaymakers in the south of Tenerife, when two unidentified men entered the area on a quad bike and began performing dangerous manoeuvres on the sand.
According to reports, lifeguards attempted to stop the men and remove them from Troya Beach as they drove the quad dangerously close to swimmers and people sunbathing on one of the most popular spots in Playa Las Americas.
At one point the quad bike became stuck for about 15 minutes, creating further commotion as people gathered around the two men shouting at them to leave and stop what they were doing.
Eventually, they managed to free the vehicle and sped away from the beach just before the Local Police arrived who took statements from lifeguards and holidaymakers on the beach and are now looking for the two men that caused the disturbance.
