VIDEO: 19-year-old man arrested after violent home assault in the south of Tenerife
The Guardia Civil has arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with a violent assault on a woman in her home in Guargacho, in the municipality of San Miguel de Abona in the south of Tenerife.
According to police, the incident took place several months ago in broad daylight. The victim had answered the doorbell at her property when she was suddenly attacked by two hooded men.
One of the attackers violently restrained her while the other entered the house. However, thanks to the victim’s loud screams, the assailants fled the scene without managing to steal anything.
CCTV footage from the property recorded the assault and provided key evidence. Officers from the Granadilla de Abona Investigation Unit were able to analyse the images, leading to the identification, location, and eventual arrest of one of the alleged perpetrators.

The man has been charged with attempted robbery with violence and placed at the disposal of the Duty Court of Granadilla de Abona.
Meanwhile, the investigation remains ongoing as the Guardia Civil continues efforts to track down the second suspect involved in the attack.
