UD Tenerife and Spring in Motion seal sponsorship agreement

The blue-and-white women’s football team and the hotel chain operating in the south of Tenerife, have formed a new partnership following the signing of a ground-breaking sponsorship agreement.

Miguel Villarroya, CEO of Spring Hoteles, Julio Luis Pérez, vice president of the club, along with Eder Maestre and Bicho, attended the presentation event at the Spring Hotel Vulcano in Playa Las Americas.

This agreement strengthens both entities' commitment to the development of women's sport and the promotion of tourism on the island. Spring Hoteles, through its brand Spring in Motion, and UD Tenerife, finalised their sponsorship deal on Monday, 17th March, marking the start of their collaboration.

Joint promotional activities and events will be organised to reinforce the relationship between tourism and sport, including a new feature after each match highlighting the "most refreshing" player, sponsored by Spring in Motion.

“For our football club, it is a great honour that a company like Spring Hoteles has chosen to collaborate with us. We are truly delighted. As an independent women's club, we rely financially on businesses that decide to support us. Spring's backing is a significant step in our ongoing fight to remain in Liga F for many years to come,” stated Julio Luis Pérez, vice president of the blue-and-white team.

Meanwhile, Spring Hoteles' CEO, Miguel Villarroya, emphasised, "It is our responsibility to try to support the club. At our facilities, we offer a wide range of amenities for their enjoyment, including gyms, spas, and restaurants. Everything we can provide is aimed at ensuring the team has all the necessary resources to continue their successful journey."

From the sporting side, Costa Adeje Tenerife’s head coach, Eder Maestre, expressed gratitude for the partnership, saying that it would help the club grow, get more support, and improve conditions in an increasingly competitive league.

“Once again, it is evident that securing points in the second half of the season is very difficult. Even the top teams struggle to achieve good results against lower-ranked opponents. We must be prepared, as we are in a mid-table position where two or three positive results could push us back into the top spots,” the Tenerife coach commented regarding the final part of the season.

Midfielder Claudia Iglesias ‘Bicho’ added, “The team approaches this week with enthusiasm after putting up a strong fight against Barça. We want to maintain this positive momentum and aim for a win at Riazor to get back into the top places.”
