The WBC World Heavyweight boxing champion, Tyson Fury, is in Tenerife for a live show tonight (Sunday) at Castillo San Miguel in the south of the island, where fans can meet him, get a signed photo with him, and see him on stage talking about his life, his boxing career, and giving the gossip you don’t see in the press!
However, at a press conference for the show held at Siam Park, Fury spoke about possible future fights, the fact he is always ready to compete, and the possibility of staging a fight at the CD Tenerife football stadium in Santa Cruz.
In August 2022, the enigmatic fighter announced his retirement from the sport, but the truth is that it never seemed like a final goodbye. There are rumours in the UK press every day about fights against Anthony Joshua, Olexandr Usyk, a re-match with Deontay Wilder, or even China’s Zhilei Zhang.
In reply to his next opponent will be, Fury said: “Until someone signs a contract to fight me, I don't know who it will be, but, fat, skinny, whatever, I'm ready 365 days a year."
