Two stabbed and one injured in a fight in El Medano in the south of Tenerife

Three men were injured in a fight in El Medano in the south of Tenerife last night (Thursday), as reported by the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES). They received a call for medical assistance at 10:25pm saying that three men needed help in the Playa Chica area of the town.

CECOES immediately dispatched the necessary emergency resources where medical personnel verified that one of the men had a stab wound from a knife to his stomach, and was transferred to the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital for further treatment.

The second, a 35-year-old man, had a stab wound to his chest which needed treatment too, but he was taken to Hospiten Sur in Las Americas, and the third, who had a ‘moderate’ head injury, refused to go to hospital and was treated by paramedics at the side of the street before leaving on his own accord.

Agents of the Local Police and the Guardia Civil were also at the scene of the incident, and prepared the corresponding reports about the injured parties to find the cause of the fight and the subsequent injuries.
