Two young men, aged 19 and 20, have been seriously injured after a car with five occupants plunged more than ten metres down a ravine in the south of Tenerife yesterday afternoon (Friday).
Shortly after 3:00 pm, the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES) received an alert reporting that a vehicle with five occupants had gone off the TF-38 road in the Chirche area of Guía de Isora and sent the necessary emergency resources to the location given.
Firefighters were first to arrive and secured the crashed vehicle, freed one occupant who was trapped in the car, and assisted medical personnel. After assessing and treating all five occupants of the car, two of them were taken to Hospiten Sur for further treatment, while the Guardia Civil handled the accident report and traffic flow.
They have opened an investigation into the cause of the accident as no other vehicles were involved.
