Two drug dealers arrested in the south of Tenerife

Police in the south of Tenerife, have arrested two drug dealers, in separate interventions, in Arona and Adeje with the help of a police sniffer dog, under the campaign: Plan for the Prevention of Drug Consumption and Sale in Leisure Areas as they clamp down on drugs.

The first arrest was a 38-year-old man in the town of El Fraile (Arona), who, when he was about to sell something to another person, spotted the police and tried to run away but was intercepted by officers who verified that he was carrying nine doses of heroin prepared for sale.

The other one was at a checkpoint in Costa Adeje, which was being carried out by agents and the canine unit of the Adeje Local Police, who arrested another man for the same thing.

One of the police dogs detected the presence of narcotic substances on a passerby, who after being apprehended and searched, was found to be carrying 28 grams of marijuana, 32 grams of hashish, and 4,080 euros in cash, as well as bags and a precision scale to prepare the drug for sale.

Both detainees, along with the police reports and the seized substances, have been brought to the disposal of the judicial authorities at the Arona Courts.
