A truck overturned on to its side at the Los Olivos roundabout in Adeje yesterday afternoon (Monday), according to a report by the Canary Islands Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES).
The 1-1-2 operations room received an alert and activated the necessary emergency resources, which included the Fire brigade, SUC ambulance, the Adeje Local Police, and staff from the Cabildo’s Road Service.
Once at the scene, firefighters secured the overturned vehicle and Road Service staff carried out cleanup operations, particularly of fluids from the lorry including oil that had spilt onto the road, to ensure safety and restore normal traffic conditions as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, medical personnel attended to the driver of the truck, who sustained minor injuries in the accident.
The quick response from various emergency services ensured that the situation was handled efficiently, minimising disruption and ensuring the safety of the area.
