Three young females have been injured, including a 21-year-old with a serious head injury, in a two-car collision on the TF-28 in Granadilla in the south of Tenerife last night, as reported by the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES).
They received an alert at 8.15pm last night, informing them that there had been a collision on Calle Hilario in Charco del Pino between two cars resulting in injuries to several people.
Firefighters had to free one of the injured who was trapped inside her car and paramedics assisted all those affected and transferred them to different hospitals on the island depending on the severity of their injuries.
According to the report, a 21-year-old girl was transferred to the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria with a serious head injury, while a 24-year-old woman was transferred to the Quirón Costa Adeje Hospital with a moderate chest injury, and a 16-year-old girl was attended to at the scene of the accident for anxiety and cuts and bruises.
The Local Police regulated traffic in the area and have opened a corresponding investigation into the cause of the accident.
