Three seriously injured in a house fire in the south of Tenerife

Three people, including a teenager, have sustained serious injuries in a house fire in Guargacho, in the south of Tenerife. A 53-year-old man, a 52-year-old woman, and a 16-year-old girl were seriously affected by the fire, as reported by the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES).

The incident occurred in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday), at around 4:20am, on Calle Laurisilva which is in the municipality of Arona. CECOES dispatched the fire brigade to the location given, where they found that the occupants of the building had managed to get out of the building and were out on the street, so proceeded to tackle the fire.

In the meantime, medical personnel attended to the three affected individuals, who were suffering from severe smoke inhalation. The man was taken to Hospiten Sur, while the woman and her daughter were transferred to the Hospital del Sur El Mojón for further treatment.

The fire brigade reported that the blaze had been successfully extinguished, which entirely affected the ground floor of the house and a section of the garage.

In addition to the firefighters and emergency medical staff, officers from the Guardia Civil and the Local Police also arrived at the scene, and collaborated with the other emergency services, and took charge of the necessary procedures related to the incident.
