Three women, including a pregnant 38-year-old, were injured on Friday afternoon following a serious traffic accident involving three vehicles on the TF-1 motorway in Tenerife.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:50pm in the southbound lane of the TF-1, just before the Tabaiba exit in the municipality of El Rosario. According to the Canary Islands’ Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES), one of the vehicles overturned during the crash, prompting a swift emergency response.

Emergency medical personnel assessed and assisted the injured at the scene. The pregnant woman sustained minor injuries and was rushed to the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria by ambulance for further treatment and routine observation.

A second woman, whose age was not disclosed, suffered a moderate lumbar injury and was also taken to the same hospital for further evaluation and care. A third victim, a 55-year-old woman, suffered a similar injury and was transported to the HUC Hospital.

Firefighters were required to extricate one of the women, who had become trapped inside the overturned car. Meanwhile, the Guardia Civil took charge of the investigation and began compiling official reports into the circumstances of the crash.

The incident caused traffic delays in the area as emergency crews worked to assist the injured and clear the road. Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the cause of the collision.
