Three men have been arrested in Tenerife following a Police investigation into alleged sexual exploitation, prostitution and offences involving the corruption of a minor. The operation led to the rescue of an underage victim who police say was sexually exploited at two establishments in the south of the island.
The investigation was carried out by officers from the National Police's specialist unit targeting immigration and document fraud networks. It began in May after officers received information suggesting a minor had been exploited between 2022 and 2024.
According to investigators, the victim was forced into prostitution at two premises that appeared to operate as legitimate businesses. Police allege that behind closed doors, women were subjected to coercive sexual exploitation.
Officers say statements from victims and workers revealed that some women, including those in vulnerable situations, were kept under constant control. They were allegedly required to follow strict working hours and internal rules, with financial penalties imposed for breaking them.
After obtaining a court order, police searched both premises and arrested three men on suspicion of sexual exploitation, prostitution and offences involving the corruption of a minor.
The suspects have been brought before the courts, and the investigation remains ongoing as officers work to identify any additional victims and possible suspects.
Police are also appealing to the public for information about suspected human trafficking or sexual exploitation. Anyone with relevant information can contact the National Police confidentially, and reports can be made anonymously.
