Everything is ready for the Freestyle Zombies at the Antonio Domínguez stadium in Playa Las Americas, to put the finishing touch to their Canarian tour with a show that promises to be if it’s possible, more spectacular, vibrant, and "groundbreaking" than their sell-out shows in Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, and La Gomera.
The team is made up of world champion and X Games gold medal-winning Motocross, quad, and mountain bike riders, plus the junior world champion on a scooter, who all perform some breathtaking high-altitude stunts.
Throw in a bilingual host who winds up the crowd into a frenzy, and two fire performers, and you have a high-octane night to rival anything you’ll see anywhere in the world. How do we know? Because we were lucky enough to go to the show last Saturday in La Gomera.
5,000 fans are expected at tonight’s show, for the unique opportunity to see true champions do almost impossible tricks that you only normally see on YouTube.
The spectacular and talented Catalan rider, Marc Pinyol, said yesterday, “We are going to give everything. The layout of the stadium allows us to put on the biggest show of the tour. It will be a spectacle never seen in the Canary Islands”.
“We are going to have a 12-metre bike ramp that will allow us to do tricks never seen before here. The public has given us a lot of energy and that helps us improve ourselves. It will be a two-hour show that will make people leave with full adrenaline and a smile on their face”.
In the same way, the French World Champion, David Rinaldo, admitted that he was looking forward to being able to fly over the sky of Las Americas: “It is a pleasure to be here. It's been a great tour. I'm having a great time and I can't wait to give it my all”.
