The representative from Tenerife, 22-year-old Corina Mrazek, beat 50 other competitors and was crowned the new Miss Spain 2023 on Saturday night in an exciting gala held on home soil in Los Realejos. She dazzled the jury with her display and passion for traditional Canarian dance, has a Degree in Tourism, and is a volunteer for food banks.

The new Spanish beauty queen, who will represent Spain at Miss World, could not hold back her tears upon hearing her name as the winner and emotionally posed with her mother, who has supported her throughout her career.

"The last few months have been very difficult with some really low moments, but some happy ones too, but I have really enjoyed this experience which has changed my life, and I have learned a lot. I hope I have given my home the exposure it deserves, and I hope that everyone feels proud of me", she said before being crowned as queen.

Corina's hobbies include fashion, reading, art, sports, and travelling, and she works as an air hostess. However, it was her passion for traditional Canarian dance, a skill that really allowed her to stand out in the pageant.

The runner-up on Saturday night, known as the First Lady was Charlotte Harrison who is Miss Canary Islands from Guia de Isora in the south of Tenerife, while María Arcos, the candidate from Granada, was chosen as the Second Lady.

Corina Mrazek now joins a long list of Spanish women who have excelled in the Miss World pageant, the oldest in the world with more than seventy years of history, the most notable being Mireia Lalaguna, the only Spaniard who has managed to bring the Miss World title to Spain in 2015.
