Tenerife airport launches new control system to speed up passenger flow

Tenerife North Airport has installed a new automated system for passenger access to security control before entering the departure lounge. The implementation of the system has meant the installation of six new electronic boarding pass reader points, just before the security checks and the scanning of hand luggage before flying.

Four of the new accesses are for single use, and two are wider for families with pushchairs and people with reduced mobility or in wheelchairs.

The objective is to provide quicker access to security control with your boarding pass and without the need for assistance or someone to manually check it, as it will automatically verify the information of the airline and the flight, allowing passengers to pass through.

This new system is part of the quality plan of the Tenerife North Airport, and contributes to the automation of airport processes and streamlines access control to the security area before boarding, achieving a faster and smoother passenger flow to improve the passenger experience at the airport.
