Teenage suspect caught stealing and dismantling motorbikes in south Tenerife

The Arona Local Police have identified and are investigating a teenager suspected of stealing and dismantling motorcycles in the town of Buzanada in the south of Tenerife.

The operation, conducted on 19th February, led to the recovery of several stolen motorbikes that were being stripped down in a clandestine chop shop.

Following several reports from local residents, authorities were able to trace the illegal activity to a plot of land and an adjoining room of a private property.

The location was allegedly being used as a dismantling workshop, where stolen motorbikes were stripped down and taken apart for resale as parts.

During the raid, officers discovered three motorbikes in the process of being dismantled, further confirming suspicions of theft and illegal trade.

As a result of the investigation, legal proceedings have been initiated at the Guard Court of the Judicial District of Arona. The suspect, a minor, is being investigated for the alleged crimes of motor vehicle theft and handling stolen goods.
