Taxi driver tests positive for cocaine and crack while on duty

The Local Police have detained a taxi driver in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria after he tested positive in a drug test. According to a statement from the town hall, he was stopped by officers from the Traffic Unit of the Las Palmas Local Police near Parque Canódromo located between Calle Obispo Romo and Calle Zaragoza in the city.

After being stopped, the driver was tested for drugs and alcohol which revealed positive results for cocaine and crack use. Consequently, the vehicle was immobilised, and necessary legal procedures were initiated, according to their official X account (formerly Twitter).
