THURSDAY WEATHER: Warm and windy with 25°C in the Canary Islands
Blustery conditions are set to sweep across the Canary Islands this Thursday, with cloudy skies and the possibility of light rain in some areas. Temperatures, however, will remain largely unchanged with highs of 25°C.
According to the latest reports from AEMET, moderate northerly winds will strengthen at times, with gusts that could be strong or even very strong in exposed areas, particularly during the afternoon.
At sea, northerly or north-easterly winds of force 3 to 5 are expected, with slight to moderate seas, occasionally rough in places, and a northerly swell of between one and two metres.
Overall, it will feel breezier than recent days, particularly in exposed areas, so residents and visitors are advised to take care, especially on coastal roads and in higher ground.

Tenerife
Tenerife will experience variable cloud cover, with thicker cloud in the north early and late in the day, and in the south during the afternoon. Light, occasional rain is likely in the north and cannot be ruled out in southern areas later on. Temperatures will remain steady, although highs may ease slightly in the mountains. Moderate northerly winds will strengthen at times on the northwest coast and in southern Anaga, with the risk of occasional very strong gusts in the afternoon. Breezes are expected along the southeast and southwest coasts. In the central peaks, southwest winds will be moderate to strong overnight before easing and turning north-westerly during the morning.
General temperature range: 17°C minimum and 25°C maximum.
Gran Canaria
In Gran Canaria, the northern half of the island will be mostly cloudy, with occasional light rain possible. Elsewhere, skies will be clearer, although some cloud may develop in the south during the afternoon. Temperatures will change little, though highs may dip slightly in higher areas. Northerly winds will be moderate, becoming strong at times on eastern and western slopes and in summit areas, especially later in the day. Sea breezes are expected along the south coast.
General temperature range: 18°C minimum and 24°C maximum.
Lanzarote
In Lanzarote, cloudy intervals are forecast, with skies mainly overcast during the early morning and central hours of the day. There is a slight chance of light, scattered showers. Temperatures will see little change, with moderate northerly winds.
General temperature range: 17°C minimum and 23°C maximum.
Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura will see similar conditions, with cloudier periods overnight and around midday, along with a low probability of light showers. Temperatures remain steady and winds moderate from the north.
