Over the next week, the Tenerife Cabildo are resurfacing the TF-1 at the junctions for Playa de las Américas, San Eugenio, Fañabe, La Caleta, Los Menores, and Adeje. The works will be carried out between the early hours of tonight (Sunday 4th September) and Friday morning.
Several diversions will be in place whilst the work is taking place between 10:00pm and 6:00am to minimise any traffic jams and inconvenience for drivers.
Diversions from 4th September to 9th September:
Sunday night: vehicles travelling in either direction wanting to access Playa de Las Américas must use the San Eugenio junction (74).
On the other hand, those wanting to exit for Adeje from this point should leave in the direction of Santa Cruz and make a U-turn at the Arona/Los Cristianos junction (72).
Additionally, people who want to travel to the capital of Tenerife from the Siam Mall Shopping Centre/Las Americas junction, should go to Adeje to exit 76 and change direction there.
Monday night: vehicles wishing to access the San Eugenio interchange (junction 74) must use the Costa Adeje/Torviscas/Playa Fañabé junction, number 76.
Tuesday night: vehicles heading towards Santa Cruz wanting to exit at junction 76 for Costa Adeje, La Caleta or Playa Fañabe, must continue to the San Eugenio junction (75).
If you want to access Adeje via junction 79, you must continue to the Costa Adeje/La Caleta/Playa Fañabé junction (78), make a U-turn and return to your destination.
Also, if you want to go towards Santa Cruz from Adeje, you will have to go to the Los Menores/Armeñime/Playa Paraíso junction (81) and join the motorway in the desired direction.
Wednesday night: vehicles that want to access the Los Menores, Armeñime or Playa Paraíso areas in the direction of Guía de Isora, must continue to the Vera de Erques/Playa San Juan junction, change direction and return back to their destination.
If you want to make the manoeuvre in the opposite direction, you must exit through the Adeje junction (79A), and change direction at junction 78.
Thursday night: Finally, on September 8th, vehicles wishing to access Adeje or join the road from this point must use junction 81 (Los Menores/Armeñime/Playa Paraíso).
Drivers going in the direction of Santa Cruz and wishing to access Adeje via junction 79 must continue to junction 78, make the U-turn and return to junction 81.
The Vice President of the Cabildo, Enrique Arriaga, has confirmed that the resurfacing works will be completed during the next few weeks, which is scheduled to be finished by the end of September.
