Renowned criminal jailed after attacking ex-girlfriend in south of Tenerife
A notorious, renowned criminal from Guargacho, in the south of Tenerife, has been jailed after brutally breaking a restraining order and attacking his ex-partner in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police were called to Calle Punta del Lomo, near El Santuario Park, after reports that the man had pursued the woman to her home, forcing her to flee and shelter in a neighbour’s apartment.
In a violent outburst, he smashed through a glass door in the entrance of the building in an attempt to reach her, leaving a trail of blood and suffering serious cuts that required surgery.
The Guardia Civil arrived at the house within minutes. The man tried to run but was caught and arrested less than 20 minutes after they were alerted.
The suspect was identified by his initials B.B.Q., and is already well known to police for a long history of previous crimes alongside his brother.
He appeared in court on Tuesday, where a judge ordered his immediate imprisonment as the investigation into the assault continues.
