Motorcyclist killed in late-night crash in Playa Las Americas

A 56-year-old man has died following a collision between a motorcycle and a car in the south of Tenerife late last night (Sunday) on Avenida Antonio Domínguez in Playa Las Americas.

The fatal accident happened at around 11: 45pm, according to reports from the Canary Islands Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES), who dispatched the necessary emergency resources upon receiving an alert.

When paramedics arrived at the location given, they found the motorcyclist with critical injuries and in cardiac arrest.

Despite carrying out advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), medical staff were unable to revive him, and the 56-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Local Police are investigating the circumstances of the collision and have prepared the official accident report, while the National Police assisted emergency crews at the scene.

The circumstances leading up to the crash have not yet been disclosed.
