A 61-year-old motorcyclist was injured yesterday afternoon (Monday) after veering off the TF-657 road in the municipality of San Miguel de Abona, in south Tenerife.

The accident occurred at approximately 4:15pm, when the rider reportedly left the road, which connects Aldea Blanca to Buzanada, at kilometre 2 and hit with a wall, prompting an emergency response.

According to the Canary Islands Emergency Coordination Centre (CECOES), the man sustained a moderate leg injury, described as a lower limb trauma. He was treated at the scene by SUC medical personnel and then transported by ambulance to the Hospiten Sur Hospital for further treatment.

His condition was reported as moderate when he was admitted, pending further complications.

The Guardia Civil also responded to the scene and took charge of the official accident report. Authorities remind road users to exercise caution, particularly on secondary roads and in areas with limited visibility or tight turns, as these are common sites for single-vehicle incidents involving motorcyclists.
