More TF-1 closures in the south for essential roadworks from Sunday night
The Tenerife Cabildo, through its Department of Roads, has announced that improvement and resurfacing works on the TF-1 motorway will continue from tonight, Sunday 10th August, until Thursday 14th August.
This will affect traffic between El Porís (km 37), Tajao (km 47), and Abades (km 45).
The works will take place each night from 9:00pm to 6:00am, with the right-hand lane closed and, at times, central lanes in both directions also shut. Traffic will be diverted to the outer lanes where necessary.
Drivers are being urged to take extra care and follow the instructions of road personnel and temporary signage in the affected areas.
In addition to resurfacing, the project includes installing rumble strips along the road edges, raising central and side crash barriers, fitting reflective road studs, fully repainting horizontal road markings, installing concrete median barriers, and adding safety rails to bridges.
