Maspalomas launches new festival combining Eurovision and Pride
Maspalomas, already known as one of Europe’s top LGBTQ+ destinations, is adding a new jewel to its crown. In May 2026, just days after the 25th anniversary of Maspalomas Pride by Freedom, the southern Gran Canaria resort will debut ‘Eurovision Pride’, a spectacular celebration uniting the magic of Eurovision with the spirit of Pride.
Running from 14th to 17th May, the event will take over the Yumbo Centrum, the heart of Maspalomas nightlife, with live performances, themed parties, and the broadcast of the Eurovision Song Contest on a giant 60-square-metre LED screen.
Visitors can expect an atmosphere bursting with music, colour and inclusion as they enjoy both the Eurovision semi-finals and grand final surrounded by fans from across Europe.
Two Pride Festivals, One Destination
Following the Maspalomas Pride by Freedom 2026 celebrations (4th–10th May), ‘Eurovision Pride’ will make Maspalomas the only European destination to host two major international LGBTQ+ festivals in the same month.
The programme will feature exclusive pool parties at Ocean Club Maspalomas and Seven Hotel & Wellness, a special Eurovision gala, and themed nights celebrating Eurovision hits from the 2000s, 2010s and 2020s.

Fernando Ilarduya, president of the Freedom Association LGBT Maspalomas and promoter of the new event, said:
“Eurovision Pride was created to expand the Pride experience and offer visitors a new way to live the Eurovision spirit — with freedom, respect, and plenty of pop music.”
With this bold new addition, Maspalomas strengthens its reputation as a global leader in LGBTQ+ tourism, culture and celebration, reaffirming its role as Europe’s Pride capital and a shining example of diversity, inclusion and joy under the Canary sun.
