A 30-year-old man is in serious condition after being stabbed in the south of Tenerife late last night. When the emergency services arrived at the scene, they found him losing a lot of blood from a deep wound in his stomach.
The Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES) received an alert at 1:00am this morning requesting urgent health care for the man who had been the victim of an assault with a knife on a public street.
They dispatched medical personnel to Calle Fuerteventura in El Fraile, where the police were already at the scene of the incident, who managed to stabilise him before taking him to the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital for further treatment.
The Guardia Civil are already investigating what happened and asking witnesses to come forward and give any information they may have.
